The search for the next 456 players has officially begun. Netflix has renewed Squid Game: The Challenge for a third season, even before the launch of Season 2 — a clear sign that the streaming giant is doubling down on its most successful unscripted series.

Squid Game: The Challenge Release Date Netflix

Season 2 is set to premiere on November 4, 2025, but casting for Season 3 is already finished in July. Fans now have a chance to compete in the world’s most intense reality competition inspired by the global phenomenon Squid Game.

Think you have what it takes to survive the games, form clever alliances, and outlast 455 other players? You can now watch updates through Netflix’s official appl. It was a long process for applicants, they must be 21 years of age or older, and other eligibility terms and conditions apply.

But that’s not your only path into the game. Recruitment for Season 3 was also taking place through Squid Game: The Experience — the immersive real-life event currently running in New York and London. Winners from the experience received priority consideration in the Season 3 casting process, though selection was not guaranteed.

Inside Netflix’s Biggest Reality Phenomenon

In Squid Game: The Challenge, 456 contestants compete in elaborate real-world recreations of the iconic games from the original Korean drama. Strategy, alliances, and betrayals shape the journey as players fight for the life-changing $4.56 million prize — one of the largest in reality television history.

When the first season premiered, over 81,000 people from around the world applied to take part. Only one player ultimately triumphed, shocking both contestants and viewers alike.

Following that success, Netflix immediately renewed the show for Season 2, debuting this November, and now, Season 3 is officially here to watch on the Netflix.

What’s Next?

Netflix has finally announced the release date for Squid Game: The Challenge Season 3, but production and casting ramped up post Season 2’s premiered. Now fans are expecting new challenges, higher stakes, and more psychological twists as the real-life Squid Game universe expands globally.
