Pablo Picasso: “Everything you can imagine is real”

The‌ ‌painter,‌ ‌sculpture‌ ‌Pablo‌ ‌Picasso‌ ‌(b.‌ ‌25‌ ‌Oct‌ ‌1881‌ ‌— ‌d.‌ ‌8‌ ‌April‌ ‌1973)‌ ‌who‌ ‌spent‌ ‌most‌ ‌of‌ ‌his‌ ‌time‌ ‌in‌ ‌France.‌ ‌However,‌ ‌he‌ ‌was‌ ‌born‌ ‌in‌ ‌Spain.‌ ‌The‌ ‌inspiration‌ ‌icon‌ ‌to‌ ‌millions‌ ‌of‌ ‌people‌ ‌and‌ ‌every‌ ‌young‌ ‌artist‌ ‌from‌ ‌all‌ ‌over‌ ‌the‌ ‌world.‌ ‌The‌ ‌extraordinary‌ ‌potential‌ ‌of‌ ‌Pablo‌ ‌found‌ ‌by‌ ‌his‌ ‌father‌ ‌at‌ ‌a‌ ‌very‌ ‌young‌ ‌age.‌ ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌a‌ ‌naturalist‌ ‌that‌ ‌could‌ ‌draw‌ ‌at‌ ‌his‌ ‌early‌ ‌age‌ ‌like‌ ‌a‌ ‌trained‌ ‌artist.‌ ‌One‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌most‌ ‌renowned‌ ‌artist‌ ‌and‌ ‌motivation‌ ‌in‌ ‌Picasso‌ ‌was‌ ‌Henri‌ ‌Matisse.‌ ‌Pablo‌ ‌was‌ ‌one‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌rare‌ ‌artists‌ ‌whose‌ ‌work‌ ‌categorized‌ ‌into‌ ‌period.

  • Blue period (1901 – 1904)
  • Rose Period (1904 – 1906)
  • African — Influence period (1907 – 1909)
  • Analytic Cubism (1909 – 1912)

Synthetic Cubism as called as the Crystal Period. Most of his works of 1910 and 1920 is represented in neoclassical style. Picasso earned prolificness throughout his life. Achieving such accomplishments made him widely best known artist in the 20th century.

The Painting: Reading The Letter by Pablo Picasso

Reading the letter is the painting attracts a lot of human attention and place the people in the cage of conflict. However, the painting is straightforward and exceptionally beautiful. It consists of oil paints which depicts the young man reading a letter. Moreover, the painting expressed the two feelings. The one is sand and the other is leaning on the other trying to understand the fact.

However, one of the men who look sad had brought controversy that whether he is sad or just focusing on the letter for reading further in details. It was the painting that brought the confusion to many people and considered the feeling evoking painting. As well as, some people named it one of the favourite paintings of Picasso.

In the “Reading the Letter”, both young men looks like bothers. During creation of the painting (until the 20th century), the letter was the main source of communication from one place to another. The most famous occasions like birth, death, marriage, weddings, birthdays or any other important means of transmission of news. The letters played a vital role in the history.

It is clear to anyone in the first glance over the portrait that both the men are reading the serious news but does not make us sure that it is bad news or good. However, the majority think that it is bad news. Moreover, there is another hand leaving a clue (landed sympathy) that the letter in the painting has maximum chances of  bad news. This traditional painting is still available in France (buy from Amazon).

Pablo had received a lot of support from his father. The 13000 paintings and 130000 illustrations of  Picasso are hard proof ever created. Reading the letter was unknown till the death of the great Pablo Picasso. You may also like to read, Ilya Repin’s paintings that found his truth, dual artistic skills of Sadanand Bakre. And, Raza’s inspiration behind his brush strokes. As well as, the Indian artist, M F Husain had challenged that even after putting him into the jungle, still he can create. The boldness of K H Ara, bringing sexuality into his paintings marked in the history.
