The Drama and Activism as well as controversies and eccentric personalities

Sunday, January 11, 2026 is Golden Globes 2026 DayThe 83rd Golden Globes Awards was at the Beverly Hilton, but it aired on the CBS network at 5 pm, Pacific Time Zone, with an encore performance at 8 pm. I was busy today. Besides watching the Golden Globes, I also self-published my third novel on lulu.com and I watched US Figure Skating on NBC, which was at St. Louis, Missouri. Yesterday, I watched the women skate. I haven’t watched figure skating competitions since early 2000s as well as during the Olympics. I am not usually aware it is on, since I rarely watch TV.

Nikki Glaser wasn’t funny. She was actually corny and lame. I don’t know how she became a comedian. I am guessing she has connections. But she did look like the Sex in the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker, although Sarah Jessica tends to be more fashionable and into her appearance. I decided to add some snapshots from the red-carpet modeling of some of the actresses wearing a gown that wasn’t glamourous, which made it on the worst dressed list. They weren’t fashionable or even glamourous for this awards show. The news.com.au video showcased red-carpet fashions, as celebrities pose for paparazzi. They either showed too much skin, in their version of the Lady Godiva outfit, or they were too frumpy or ordinary. There were some political messages, mostly during the red-carpet modeling and interviewing, where some celebrities expressed their anti-Trump, anti-Trump Administration, and Anti-ICE views. Access Hollywood video displays actors on the red-carpet protesting ICE by wearing small white pins, stating “BE GOOD” or “ICE OUT.”Some celebrities wore a small pin on their gown and suit. The ETimes video displays BE GOOD pins worn to make a statement. Some wore a “BE GOOD” or “ICE OUT” pin to supported the murdered American woman, Renee Nicole Goode, who was killed by domestic-terrorist group, ICE. Besides the political messages, the awards show was boring and lame. But the celebrities’ crazy, or even narcissistic personality is interesting and eccentric. Mark Ruffalo speaks up about Trump Administration destroying America with their domestic terrorism for the N.W.O. agenda and One World Order.

When Julia Roberts was on stage to present an award, she got a standing ovation. I didn’t understand why because she is not a good actress or even attractive. She just has personality. Later, she was depressed because she didn’t win in one of the categories. For some reason, she feels she deserved an award. She is even worse in her middle age at 58, even though she looks much older than her age. Maybe the audience gave her a standing ovation because they were all applauding her for making it this long in the entertainment business. Then there is Sean Penn, who feels he is above the law. Even though California has banned indoor smoking, he was often seen smoking inside the awards show. He looked like Albert Einstein because of his disheveled white hair. Other smokers went outside. There was a lot of drama between celebrities. Sean Penn created a heated controversy because he was smoking indoors, which is banned in California.

But I thought the best dressed was probably Kylie Jenner, even though I am not into any Jenners or Kardashians because they are purely annoying. Kylie’s body looked good in that golden gown, and her face glowed and shined as much as the golden gown. I also thought that she looked more like her sister, Kendall, at the awards show. Access Hollywood video displays different celebrities posing on the red carpet, surrounded by paparazzi and their camera.

I mostly checked out female gowns, even though some women wore a pantsuit, such as Diane Lane. But these gowns got my attention the most because they were different, whether it was the actress’ personal style or she was just making a statement. Jennifer Lawrence was showing too much skin in this gown, maybe shedding her old image for mature roles. Jennifer Lopez looks like herself because she always dresses in such gowns. There was drama between Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner, probably because they were both married to Ben Affleck, but at different times. Zoe Kravitz looks too plain and ordinary, like she is hanging out with friends, not a big and glamourous awards show. When I first saw her gown, I thought she was wearing a lingerie or nightgown. She could have at least worn a silky robe of the same color over this gown, and maybe a slipper-style heeled shoes for a particular look, similar to the silky pajamas worn for outdoors. She is mostly known for her film, Blink Twice, which is about sexual abuse, human trafficking, sex orgies, and young women being taken advantage of at islands owned by elites, such as Epstein Island. Parker Posey, who is much older than then J-Lo, J-Law, and Zoe, looked frumpy, garish, and older than her age of 57. Parker and Zoe definitely need a personal stylist to help them dress up for an event. Jennifer Lopez appears to know who she is, and she is expressing her personal and unique style, while Jennifer Lawrence has grown up sincer her Hunger Games days, gotten married and she is a mother, and she is likely promoting a new image for future acting jobs.

Hence, I think all these celebrities need a personal stylist and a makeup artist, although most of the younger celebrities dress and look better because young people tend to be more fashionable. Most appeared to be dressed in whatever because they were likely at the show just to hang out with certain people. There is also the afterparties afterwards. It appears that most celebrities change their outfit for the afterparties. But there were parties, before and after the Golden Globes, hosted by Universal, Amazon MGM Studios, Netflix, NEON and BAFTA, located throughout the Los Angeles area, from Beverly Hills to West Hollywood. Although I missed the red carpet modeling and interviews this year, I checked some out on YouTube. The red carpet interviews are interesting because it showcases each celebrities personality, style, and their off moments, which makes them even more entertaining without trying. Like Bill Maher’s response in interviews was as stupid and very unlikeable as usual, which makes him annoying as always, while Mark Ruffalo’s activism made him appear to be caring and likeable to his fan base. The USA Today video interviewed Mark Ruffalo and Bill Maher, contrasting the opposite views at the awards, which likely created tension, friction, and drama.
