Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has added his voice to the growing list of admirers celebrating Dhurandhar, the high-energy spy thriller led by Ranveer Singh. The Aditya Dhar–directed film, released on December 5, chronicles the story of a RAW operative who infiltrates Pakistan’s volatile Lyari underworld to dismantle a gangster-ISI terror pipeline. And because the film’s gritty world-building and muscular execution have already sparked intense conversation, Arjun’s praise adds fresh momentum to its pan-India appeal.

Allu Arjun Praises Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar as Spy Thriller Gains Box Office Muscle and Political Debate

Just watched #Dhurandhar. A brilliantly made film filled with fine performances, the finest technical aspects, and amazing soundtracks.

Moreover, the movie’s ensemble cast has amplified its impact—with Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal delivering key performances that bolster the narrative’s sense of urgency. This strong lineup has been widely acknowledged by industry peers; actors like Vicky Kaushal applauded the film’s conviction and craft, which helped create an atmosphere that blends real-world anxieties with cinematic spectacle.

Furthermore, audiences have reinforced this sentiment, repeatedly highlighting the film’s tightly choreographed action, polished technical execution, and memorable soundtrack. These elements worked in unison to pull viewers into the labyrinth of cross-border espionage, allowing the movie to resonate strongly across metros and tier-2 cities alike. As a result, Dhurandhar not only crossed the ₹100 crore domestic mark in its opening weekend but also surged to ₹207 crore by day seven, cementing its status as one of the year’s most aggressive commercial performers.

Nevertheless, the film’s soaring popularity has been accompanied by criticism, especially from commentators who argue that the narrative leans heavily into nationalist sentiment. Some reviewers questioned the portrayal of Pakistan, calling it exaggerated or politically loaded, while discussions intensified after rumors surfaced about Gulf countries withholding screenings. Though these bans remain unconfirmed, the speculation has fueled debate over the film’s political framing and its implications in a charged regional climate.

Taken together, Allu Arjun’s endorsement acts as both validation and amplification, reinforcing Dhurandhar’s position as a film that balances adrenaline with ideological sharp edges. His praise—arriving amid booming box office numbers and vocal online discussions—captures the duality of a movie that is thrilling audiences even as it challenges them. And because the conversation surrounding Dhurandhar shows no signs of slowing, the film appears poised to shape Bollywood’s evolving approach to spy thrillers and geopolitically charged storytelling.
