Mohit Suri—the man behind unforgettable films like Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, and Awarapan—is back in the limelight, and this time, it feels bigger than ever. With Saiyaara, he’s not just delivered another hit—it has that classic Mohit Suri touch we’ve seen in his earlier films, but it also feels fresh and deeply relatable to today’s generation. The film is connecting with audiences all across the country, sparking emotions, conversations, and applause from all corners.

In just 4 days, Saiyaara stormed into the ₹100 crore club, making it one of the fastest films of 2025 to achieve this milestone. As of now, its worldwide gross collection has surpassed ₹220 crore. This marks Mohit Suri’s fifth film to enter the ₹100 crore club—a massive win, especially after a few years where things hadn’t gone his way at the box office.

Saiyaara also stands out because it isn’t powered by mega-stars — Mohit placed his faith in fresh faces, like Aneet Padda, Shaan R Grover, Faheem Abdullah (Singer & Co-Composer), Arslan Nizami (Co-Composer) and others, proving once again that he’s a true star-maker. He believed in their potential when no one else was looking, and today, they’re shining under his vision.

Amidst all this, Udita Goswami shared a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to her husband, both as a filmmaker and the man she shares her life with.

Udita Goswami’s Tribute to Mohit Suri

Mohit Suri, I honestly don’t know where to begin. It feels a little strange saying this out loud because we usually keep things private. At home, I rarely express my appreciation—I’m more often the one giving reminders: “Mohit, turn off the lights,” “Switch off the AC,” “Hang your wet towel,” “Give me some attention,” “Stop watching TV or playing games on your phone…”

And when I ask for help around the house, you say, “All I know is how to make movies.” Well, that you definitely do.

This moment didn’t come easily. It’s the result of years of patience, hard work, frustration, anxiety, sleepless nights, and the quiet insecurity of waiting for your time while still holding on to the belief that you were good enough. You wanted our kids to witness the highs you once had and to feel proud of their father. And now, you haven’t just reached that point — you’ve surpassed it. They can see it. We all can.

I know people love taking credit when something big succeeds, but when it comes to #Saiyaara, it’s all you. I’m not vain enough to believe otherwise. You sacrificed a lot to pursue your vision, turned down so many tempting offers, started fresh, and rebuilt everything from the ground up.

You’re a star maker — you don’t need stars to shine — and you’ve never compromised on your creative integrity. It should always be your way. And I hope this film shows everyone just how powerful that can be.

That said… don’t forget, you still have to come home, hang your wet towel, and switch off the AC! ❤

Of course, he deserves all the love and appreciation, not just for making Saiyaara a hit, but for creating a film that people will remember for years to come.
