Poetry has always been the language of the heart, a mirror to the soul’s quiet struggles and luminous joys. In The Canvas of Livin’, the verses unfold stories of exile, solitude, and the yearning for dignity; in The Elusive Happiness, they question our restless chase for peace; in The Whisper Adieu, they mourn fleeting love; while Thy’s Hand Solace and Ventured, though Lost remind us of mortality, resilience, and the fragile beauty of human trust. Together, these poems weave a tapestry of emotions that linger long after the final line.

The Canvas of Livin’

Above the striving and stitches, I paint a canvas of beautiful pain;

A tale of fear, of how I’ve lived, and memories that have remained.

Like a gush of wind, my spirit was stretched far and wide;

Crushed by thoughts that echoed near the ocean’s tide.

In fragments, I recall what’s left of me;

Their merriment, where the sun sets wild and free.

Oh, I’m not alone; thoughts still captivates me;

Yet, in the solitude, I’ll face the enormity.

I’ve been cast away from home, a return no more;

My soul weary, heart heavy as I endure.

Don’t ask me to sail from here; where shall I roam;

Who’ll shelter me, or offer bread to call home?

Though I strive alone, can’t I claim a dignified death?

Years lived on others’ will, their care, on their every breath;

They looked after me, reminding me in every moment’s frame.

So much to narrate, and fewer shall not  withhold;

Let me live here till I rot, where death’s call will unfold.

Let me witness sunset’s final gleam on distant hills,

May the night’s darkness shine like a serene, blissful day’s gentle will.

The Elusive Happiness

In search of mere happiness, we’ve lost our way;

Generosity forgotten, love’s thread frayed.

We wander streets, seeking inner peace;

But turmoil follows, love’s release.

A child chases grades, forgetting life’s delight;

“Rise and never fall” – but moments take flight.

In providing for home, we lose our core;

Seeking second chances, but none come knocking door.

The aged wait, some alone, some in care;

Fearing the future, burdened, without repair.

Those who nurtured love are seen as weight,

Not cherished, but a burden to abate.

In seeking happiness, we build our cage;

I’ve stopped chasing; living present is my stage.

In the now, I find solace, peace that’s real;

No longer elusive, happiness I feel so dear.

The whisper adieu

Adieu, Thy Love Forsake!

Thou cam’st with whispers, soft yet pale;

A fleeting echo in the night’s frail tale.

Thy gaze did warm, yet not ignite;

A borrowed spark that shunned the light.

I wove thy dreams from silken rhymes,

Thee shredded them, bared, for a thousand times.

No vows took root, no seed did grew;

But left me bound to wane or woe.

Wert thou the spring? Nay, wilted bloom;

A fleeting scent in shadow’s room.

Wert thou the star? A mirrored gleam,

That drowned itself in night’s lost stream.

Now time unties thy shallow clasps,

Thy fleeting touch slips through my grasp.

Adieu, thy love forsakes its throng;

My heart shall craft a worthier song.

Thy’s Hand Solace

And before I slumber on death’s quiet bed,

Let thou be my guide to heaven’s golden gate.

For I shan’t choose the carrier to lift my soul;

I’ll behold thy hand when I to darkness go.

And when the venture starts its final pace,

For the last time, I’ll sleep on thy gentle lap;

Life beyond the gate is a mystery vast,

And thy touch will cleanse my heart at last.

Let me kiss thy tears,

For we’ve lived a life so dear.

And in days later, remember—

Find solace for thyself, not for others here.

And when the gate appears in twilight haze,

I’ll leave thee slowly, dear, in fading ways.

Then sail back where we’ve crossed paths before;

Turn not back, whatever the cost implore.

And live, love, laugh for thee in light and peace;

May heaven shower blessings soft as release;

For in there, I’m alive within thee.

Ventured, though Lost

In venturing for the best, I lose my way.

No home, no bread, at what cost I’m hiding from the day?

Time lapses, shadows fade;

In others’ pursuit, is my soul dismayed?

In venture for love, I lose life above;

Miseries and lies lurk, pain to prove—

Does my soul abide?

In venture for trust, I lose hope in them;

The one I cared for deeply, a bond to mend.

Caring can’t be measured true,

But trust can be acclaimed—was that too much to do?

I search for “why not,” barely caring “what not,”

Reasons unexplained, betrayal’s bitter plot.

In search of forgiveness, I forgot the past;

Their repentance holds nothing to clasp.

What was the guilt to dishonor my soul?

Letting go was the path—was that my goal?
