Unidentified drones spotted over European airports in Belgium, Norway, and Germany raise fears amid wars in Ukraine and Gaza. NATO and Europe face questions about defense, Russia’s strategy, and Vladimir Putin’s role. Are these drones’ Russian surveillance, cyber warfare, or commercial tricks? Europe’s security crisis deepens as tensions grow across global conflicts in 2025.

How Smartphones Reshaped Human Connection and Reading Habits

It is an exciting time for many people in Europe. The ongoing wars between Israel and Gaza and Russia’s struggle with Ukraine are taking their toll on many—sleeping badly and worrying about the future. Is there still a future for the many children in our world?, many parents will think. But it is not only the wars in distant countries that most have been occupying themselves with since this month. What should they think of the suddenly appearing drones above the various European airports?

Rising Tensions in Europe Amid Global Conflicts

Drones over Norway, Germany, and Belgium? Where do they come from, and haven’t there been many more over Europe? As became known this morning (03-10-2025), several drones were accidentally observed over a Belgian airport last night. By coincidence—because a drone detector happened to be set up there. Yes, you read that right—coincidentally, a new drone detection system was being tested there. Consider that drones are being observed at more and more European airports, but who owns these drones, and where do they come from? And perhaps even more importantly, who controls those drones, and what do they explore or communicate with those drones?

Unidentified Drones Over European Airports: A Growing Mystery

Are the Russians exploring our airports and military bases while we are donating all our money and war equipment to their adversary, Ukraine? Are they exhausting us while we are all protesting against the war in Gaza waged by Israel? It is well known that Europe and NATO (outside the U.S.A.) do not have their defense and resources in order. Did Russia, and especially Vladimir Putin, slowly lull Europe to sleep after the Cold War with its politics? Have we, as Europe and NATO, allowed ourselves to be misled by Putin? Has his long-term strategy been aimed at slowly dismantling Europe, weakening it to such an extent that he now must make almost no effort to conquer it?

Russian Drone Surveillance? Europe’s Airspace Under Question

Would a previous or perhaps different American president have long since ended the two wars above or brought them under control? Putin does not shy away from a provocation—among other things, violating European airspace several times. And what are Europe, NATO, and Trump doing? Do we shrink back? Trump wants a different cost distribution in NATO. Is he abusing Putin’s Russia to instill fear in Europe? Does he think this is how he can bring about this change? After all, he also knows that European defense is not at full strength at this crucial moment! Are the unidentified drones the next warning for Europe to meet Trump’s wishes? Is he playing a “commercial” game together with Putin, in which a large number of victims are not shunned?

Did Putin and Trump Strike a Secret Deal?

A difficult question with a perhaps even more difficult answer! There are noises from different camps that Europe will need at least another ten years to get back to full war strength due to the war industry that has been dismantled. Also remember that we buy weapons from Israel, which is at war with Gaza. Are we as Europeans soon going to pay the price for our own laxity and frugality? For years we have thought, and perhaps dreamed, that if only we stayed in NATO with our “comrade” the United States of America, we could feel safe. Are the drones now blowing over Europe the harbinger of our demise? Is Europe slowly but surely being prepared for the slaughterhouse?

Europe’s Military Weakness: How Long Until Full Defence Readiness?

Or are these drones a bad joke by several fools who simply discovered that Europe, and even its airports, were not protected against drones at all?

Drones are used every day in a more violent way in the wars that are now ravaging our earth. Is it a gap in our defence strategy? Or is it perhaps a cheap but terrifying commercial ploy of the drone-manufacturing industry to garner more orders?

Are Drones the Harbinger of a New European Battlefield?

Every speaker about drones, even from military circles, says they have no explanation yet for the “massive” appearances in the vulnerable and strategic places in our society. I find it all very extraordinary that our defence cannot defend itself against these drones—and even more so that they cannot identify these flying and over-arming threats.

What happens if these drones are identified?

I suspect that at the moment there are people in fear and perhaps sleeping badly from the appearance of these drones. But what happens if it turns out that it is indeed a commercial trick or a misplaced joke? Will we ever know?
